"You and your voice will be always alive in our hearts." Some voices don't just sing — they carry an entire people. Zubeen Garg, lovingly called Luit Kontho — Voice of the Brahmaputra — was Assam's most beloved cultural icon for over three decades. Born on 18 November 1972, he sang in more than 40 languages, played 12 instruments , and gave Northeast India a sound the rest of the country couldn't ignore. From his revolutionary debut album Anamika in 1992 to his immortal Bollywood crossover with Ya Ali, his unique voice, soulful humming, and emotional depth made him the heart of Assamese music for three decades.
This poster is not merchandise. It is a tribute — a small, sincere act of remembrance for a man who offered his own home as a COVID care centre, organised flood relief concerts, and spent his fame quietly lifting others. He passed away on 19 September 2025 , leaving behind millions of hearts that still hum his melodies every single day. For every fan in Assam and beyond who grew up with his voice in their ears — this one's for Zubeen da.
